We want to hear your thoughts on how new housing could benefit the area.
Brick By Brick and Croydon Council are working together to build new homes in Shrublands Estate. A key aim is to help address the local housing need - by giving priority to the local people who wish to live in these new homes.
Innovative community-led housing could be a part of Shrublands’ future. These projects are designed and run by community groups determined to build the types of homes that local people need and want.
Between January and March 2020 we want to speak with local residents, community groups, and those with big ideas.
Over February and March we will be hosting walkarounds and a Community Conference event. Details of these are still to be confirmed. If you would like to register your interest, and be notified once details are launched, click below:Sign-up to receive more information on forthcoming events
We are looking to work with people from across the Estate and beyond to complete surveys capturing Shrublands Estate as it stands.
The walkarounds will help our team better understand how residents see the Estate, their opinions about how it is used and residents’ aspirations and vision for Shrublands’ future.
The Community Conference invites Residents and associated groups, local businesses, Councillors and MP’s to take part in exercises using creative tools to direct conversation and critique on the future redevelopment of the Shrublands Estate.
The outcomes of the previous engagements will be presented as an exhibition and will be on display. This will be a further opportunity for residents to raise any issues or questions.
